Welcome!

Although the master sculptor’s medium was stone, where the suggested intention was to chisel away solid mass, Michelangelo’s quote below, embodies the underlying metaphor for my process in revealing my manifestation as WHH Photo Art. As a photoartist, this discovery process begins with an intention of content, as opposed to form. In a sense then form follows function. I am interested more in asking the questions, “what story do I wish to tell?” or “what emotions am I wanting to emote?”.

“I saw the Angel in the marble and I carved until I set him Free”  -Michelangelo

The Theme Collection, is perhaps the longtime bread and butter of the work I do. This collection is is divided into the three sub-categories of Nature, Structure, and Muse. Being a Colorado mountain resident, river guide/outfitter and outdoor enthusiast most of my life, I have discovered my art of Nature through a lens and various softwares. As a former architect and current sculptor, I have an affinity for the positive/negative space aspects of man made Structure coupled with the architectural design play of textures and shapes. The Muse Collection is inspired by an exploration into an unorthodox artful style of “people photo-art” that includes fashion modeling, shamanism and staging the fantastical for capture..

“The aim of art is not to represent the outward appearances of things, but their inward significance” -Aristotle

Since its onset in May 2018, WHH Photo Art has evolved from its original “fine art photography only” format. I have added a designated travel section called Journey, that showcases enhanced and specialized photo-art from recent trips to Tuscany and Romania as well as two trips to Cuba. This section features a stylized portrayal of various art forms in those countries including, but not limited to, architecture, landscape, dance, street art and the art of innovation. The all new Ethereal Collection, unlike its predecessor, is now a category of its own and a departure from and extension beyond my photo-art. The Ethereal Collection features an exploration into the Abstract Digital Art World with a surreal sublime twist of Electric Psychedelia and the Mystical. My vision here is to reveal the surreal, the imaginative, the unimaginable, the ethereal, the conscious and/or subconscious projection on a screen with no pre-conceived limits of what something is “supposed to look like”.

“Surrealism is destructive, but it only destroys what it considers to be shackles limiting our vision”  - Salvador Dali

WHH Photo Art is pleased to officially present the All New category and Service, more than product, with the introduction to it’s Ideal You Project. This venture takes the concept of the dynamic relationship between artist and muse, and, in a sense, switches the roles where the artist to a degree becomes the muse and the muse becomes the artist. This co-creative process of artist and muse where the muse, you, has a creative roll themselves that involves a self-discovery of sorts pre camera, on camera and post camera production. This service is designed to go well beyond a mere experience of being professionally photographed in order to reveal a higher vibrational aspect of yourself, actualized or not. The intention of the Ideal You Project is not only to supply you with a photographic record of the experience for you to have, yet also have a more intangible , perhaps even therapeutic aspect to it of embracing and expressing a higher potential of yourself. Fun, Fantasy and Fruition are the F words for this uniquely innovative photographic service.

I welcome and encourage you to take the plunge into this broad representation of WHH Photo Art, a photographic, photo-art and abstract art experience coupled with an Ideal You hands on Interactive offering. Enjoy!! -William H. Hinch

“The only way art lives is through the experience of the observer. The reality of art begins with the eyes of the beholder through imagination, invention and confrontation” - Keith Haring
